Jazz, Christmas, and hot chocolate are the best combination in the world. Now that Halloween is officially over, I started listening to my Christmas playlist on repeat every day! And even better, my favorite jazz girl just released a holiday EP called A Very Laufey Holiday. The jazz-inspired Icelandic songwriter and composer Laufey just came out with this amazing holiday EP, and I cannot be happier about the holiday spirits taking over me.
Laufey is one of those artists who feels like a breath of fresh air, she is someone who blends the old with the new in a way that’s totally enchanting. With her jazz-inspired sound, she brings a vintage charm that’s rare to find in today’s music. Imagine Billie Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald, but with a modern twist that appeals to a younger crowd. Laufey’s songs often feel like personal confessions or cozy late-night conversations, and her voice carries a warmth that just draws you in.
She plays with jazz, pop, and classical elements, making her music perfect for anyone who loves a bit of romance, nostalgia, and honest storytelling. Her voice melts with the sound of the bells and the piano when singing Christmas carols such
as Santa Baby, Winter Wonderland, and more! Be sure to tune in on Mondays from four to five pm to Latitude Zero so we can enjoy some cozy and relaxing music while building up for my favorite karaoke music, Christmas music!
